Choose a Booster Pack card by its complete effect, including the penalty. The official Steam preview shows Hypersonic as a Legendary card with Movement Speed +20 and Suction Range −4. The extra speed and reduced range address different parts of a run; Legendary does not mean the card is better for every situation.
This page explains the Booster Pack screen shown by the developer. It does not claim a complete card collection, pack-drop rate, or strongest endgame combination. The preview values are an example from the official screenshot. If your current card description differs, use the description in your game.
Where the Booster Pack screen is shown
The large upgrade-tree screenshot has a Booster Packs button near the top right, while the card screen has Gallery at the top left and Upgrades at the top right. The pictured card screen also shows a Packs counter, a row of cards or slots, a money display, and Start at the bottom.
These labels help you recognize the correct screen. They do not prove when Booster Packs unlock, whether the displayed slots are available from the beginning, or what action awards a pack. If the option is missing in the early browser demo, that does not establish a bug in your save: the developer says the browser build is an early showcase rather than the final version.
For the Steam build, begin with the buttons and descriptions available in your current tree. Once you can open Booster Packs, inspect the card details before starting another run. Check the Packs counter rather than assuming that the card pictured on the store page will be given to every new player.
Hypersonic: faster movement, less suction range
The Hypersonic preview has a clear tradeoff. Movement Speed rises by 20, while Suction Range falls by 4. The screenshot does not explain the unit scale, stacking formula, or underlying base values, so these numbers should not be converted into a claimed percentage improvement.
Think about the symptom in your last run. If you spent the attempt travelling between useful patches, the speed side of the card is relevant to that problem. If you repeatedly passed close to objects without collecting them, a range penalty deserves attention. In that second situation, selecting the highest-rarity option without reading the second line can make your choice harder to use.
| What you want to improve | Relevant part of Hypersonic | What to compare in the next run |
|---|---|---|
| Time spent reaching a patch of objects | Movement Speed +20 in the preview | Whether the faster movement helps you reach and stay near useful targets |
| Consistent collection of nearby objects | Suction Range −4 in the preview | Whether you need to steer more precisely and whether near misses increase |
| Overall earnings or growth | Both effects together | The result of the complete tradeoff, rather than the bonus alone |
This is not a recommendation to equip Hypersonic in every speed-focused run. The balance between travelling and collecting depends on what your current attempt actually looks like. Use the card as a choice to compare, and let the result decide whether its penalty is acceptable for you.
Compare the whole card before changing the tree
A card can change the constraint you were previously solving with upgrades. If a run suddenly feels less consistent after a card change, read the card's penalties before spending more on a different tree branch. Otherwise you may be trying to compensate for a tradeoff you selected without noticing.
Keep your comparison simple. First record which card choice changed. Then look at the affected properties named by that card. Finally compare the result with a similar run. Changing cards, movement habits, and several upgrades simultaneously makes it difficult to tell which choice helped.
If the card benefits your movement but makes collection awkward, use smaller and more deliberate movements during the comparison. If the complete result still feels worse, inspect the other choices your own game offers. The store screenshot does not establish the rules for removing cards or changing every slot, so follow the available controls rather than an assumed equip or refund procedure.
Gallery names are not a complete effect list
The preview also visibly names Snack Break, Lingering Shade, and Supernova Burst. Their full descriptions are not readable in that screenshot. A suggestive name is not enough to assign them a Hunger bonus, a damage effect, or a particular duration.
Use Gallery to inspect the descriptions your version makes available. Compare the complete text and its conditions, and be especially careful with any reduction shown alongside a bonus. There is no reliable full card tier list established by this preview, and no verified pack probability table to use for planning a particular pull.
For help choosing a base-tree purchase after reading your cards, continue to upgrade priorities. For the difference between growth and a run ending, use the Size and Hunger guide.
